As one of the largest non-profit organizations for youth in Kansas City, Love Fund for Children is proud of the accomplishments we’ve achieved within the community.
While our reputation has grown by leaps and bounds over the years, there are some things about us you might not know, including:
- Love Fund for Children began with a news story in July of 1982. WDAF-TV ran a series of stories known as “Thursday’s Child” that focused on adoption and foster care issues in the area. The response to the series was overwhelming and prompted us to spring into action.
- Today, we serve 37 counties in the Kansas City area. We’re continuing to grow and expand, and we look forward to providing assistance to children throughout the area long into the future.
- We’re proud to help children with mobility impairments get into and out of their homes and vehicles as part of our extensive services to area youth. We have helped procure and install wheelchair ramps for them to use so they never worry about getting around.
We’d love for you to connect with us on Facebook to learn more about our non-profit organization for youth in Kansas City and to discover how you can get involved.
